WaveUY · Montevideo · October 2025

SubOptic Foundation's symposium at Universidad Católica del Uruguay on the region's digital infrastructure: submarine cables, connectivity and data centers, with visits to a cable landing station and an ANTEL Tier III data center.

Our representative Matthew Zegarra was selected by SubOptic Foundation to attend in person. He spent two days with students and professionals from different countries and came back eager to keep growing in digital infrastructure.

Sias International Youth Camp · Zhengzhou · 2025

Sias University's international camp that brings together young people from around the world to live together, learn about China's history and culture and share across different cultures, religions and languages.

Our representative Lizbeth Davila traveled on a scholarship on behalf of UTP and Peru, and was the only Peruvian and South American at the camp. She returned with a network of contacts around the world and one conviction: dreams have no borders.

START Hack · St. Gallen · March 2026

One of the most prestigious hackathons in Europe, organized by START Global, where teams from universities such as ETH Zürich and Stanford solve real challenges set by companies and international impact organizations.

A team of four UTP students and LEAD UTP leaders was selected among thousands of applicants from around the world to compete in person, convinced that Peruvian talent can compete at the highest level.

UC Berkeley AI Hackathon · Berkeley · June 2026

UC Berkeley's artificial intelligence hackathon, with more than 1,700 participants on about 460 teams from countries such as Mexico, Canada, Japan, Colombia and Vietnam.

We presented GitIntent in the developer tools track: a way to keep the reason behind every change when people and AI agents write code together. We did not place among the winners, but the jury highlighted the proposal for tackling a little-explored problem.

RAISE Summit Hackathon · Paris · July 2026

RAISE Summit's hackathon, one of Europe's most important artificial intelligence and tech entrepreneurship gatherings: 48 straight hours of development with more than 6,000 participants from 60 countries.

A team of five UTP students represented Peru with ContextCore, a shared memory for AI coding agents that keeps the project context in sync across tools like Cursor, Claude Code and Copilot.
